Overview
Once a year, The Hatha Yogashala opens its doors for a celebration of yoga in all its forms. Our Yoga Festival brings together practitioners, teachers, musicians, and seekers from around the world for days of shared practice, workshops, live music, and community — a joyful gathering for anyone who loves yoga, in whatever form that takes.
Retreat Highlights
The Yoga Festival is a multi-day gathering featuring a rotating lineup of yoga styles, workshops, and wellness sessions led by teachers from different traditions and backgrounds — from Hatha and Vinyasa to Kundalini, sound healing, and meditation. Alongside daily practice sessions, the festival includes live kirtan and music evenings, communal meals, and open spaces for connection between practitioners of all levels. It's designed to feel less like a structured course and more like a celebration — an opportunity to sample new styles, meet fellow yogis, and soak in the energy of a shared community event.

Vedic Heritage
Experience the depth of ancient yogic traditions. From sacred Havan fire ceremonies and Vedic mantra chanting to flower petal Om mandalas and candlelit Trataka meditation, these rituals purify the energy and ground your retreat practice.

Alignment
Learn safe headstand (Sirsasana) technique with wall support — great for shoulder opening and spinal relief, at any level.

Ayurvedic Living
Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences of longevity. Enjoy rejuvenating herbal oil massages, dosha-balancing Ayurvedic meals, and hands-on interactive cooking masterclasses in our open-air garden kitchen.

Community
Retreat life at The Hatha Yogashala is vibrant and heartwarming. Join our evening live kirtans, joyful community gatherings, sacred mandala art workshops, and beach sunset circles where lifelong friendships are formed.

Frequently Asked Questions
A yoga retreat is a short, immersive wellness break focused on daily practice, rest, and self-care — typically 3 to 7 days — with no certification involved. A Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is a longer, structured certification course (100–300 hours) that qualifies you to teach. The Hatha Yogashala offers both.
